Will the Golden State Warriors' postseason and future be determined in Denver?

The Warriors will welcome the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center this evening before heading out on the road for a must win meeting with the Denver Nuggets. The Dubs must continue their home court dominance, and not look past the Spurs in this crusade "get-away-contest."

The next two games on the Golden State Warriors' schedule are critical to the team from the bay postseason seating in their attempt to retain the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

With just five games left in the regular season, the Dubs will play three of the remaining five on the road, with games in the mile-high city of Denver, a bus ride up I-80 to face the Sacramento Kings, and a quick trip north to conclude the regular season with a meeting at Moda Center with the Portland Trail Blazers. In the remaining Chase Center contest, the Warriors will greet the Oklahoma City Thunder before the critical games to conclude the regular season with the Kings and Trail Blazers.

With a victory over OKC, the playoff seating for Golden State may be determined at Ball Arena, and a contest with the Nikola Jokic Western Division leading Denver Nuggets as the Dubs attempt to hold on to the sixth seat in the West. By securing the sixth seat, the team from the bay will face their Northern California rival the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoff in their quest for back-to-back Championships.

If Steve Kerr and his staff have found the answers to the Warriors' struggles on the road, the Warriors could return to Chase Center, with a victory in Denver, only needing to split the last two games of the season to remain out of the box.

With the emergence of Jonathan Kuminga , the return of Gary Payton II to the rotation, the recent contributions of Jordan Poole, the consistent efforts of Kevon Looney, and the experienced core of Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry, the Warriors may be on a path for their fifth Larry O'Brien Trophy in eight years.
