Andrew Wiggins, still dealing with his family issue, has spoken to the front office in the last few days. The muttered rumors have been whispered around Chase Center the all star wing has targeted April 1st to be in the building. If Wiggins returns, depending on his conditioning, could be available for the last five games of the regular season. It is time to get excited should Wiggins enter Chase Center practice facility in good enough shape to be playoff ready before the the first round of the NBA's second season.

With Gary Payton II projected to play Sunday when Minnesota pays a visit to Chase Center, and if Andrew Wiggins is ready to play basketball again, the odds of the defending champions repeating are bright.

Jordan Poole's 33 points in a comeback win (120-112) over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night have the team from the bay in a virtual tie with the Phoenix Suns for the fifth seat. With the Los Angeles Clippers only a half-game in front of the Warriors for the 4th Seat, and home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Warriors are playing their best basketball of the season with 3 games remaining in the current homestand. The Phoenix Suns are playing a back-to-back with the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, with the Los Angeles Clippers facing New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, the Golden State Warriors could be holding the 4th seat by the beginning of the week with a win on Sunday over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves.

Only time will tell if Andrew Wiggins downs a Golden State Warriors uniform again this season. Nothing is beyond the reach of Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, and Jordan Poole, but without Andrew Wiggins the defending champions only have a shooters chance of defending their title, and retaining the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
