Joe Lacob's most revealing comments about the challenges of returning to the mountain top; "if we can't (meaning win another championship), "you should look at Joe Lacob and Bob Myers and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins and say you weren't good enough." In his post-draft comments, Joe Lacob confirmed his approval for Myers' chosen path. Lacob's prophecy for the future contains no vision of a blockbuster trade as "practical or likely."

Klay returns after 941 days of being away from the game he truly loves. The introduction of drafted talent will not meet the expectations for another run at a title. Myers signed Otto Porter Jr to add offense in the absence of Klay's production. Nemanja Bjelica and Gary Payton II were added, with Payton filling the final roster spot. The contributions of Kevon Looney, who started in all 82 games. The breakout seasons of Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and Gary Payton II were just enough for the Dubs to coast into a three-seat in the Western Conference playoffs.

Wiseman's prolonged rehabilitation from a torn meniscus suffered during his rookie season only heightens our expectations for what his addition to the rotation will bring in the future. The absence of Curry, Payton, Porter, and Green from injuries often challenged Kerr in altering his rotations. The development of Kuminga and Moody, molded by the guidance of Andrew Iguodala, was the final structural piece in bridging the gap between the championship core and the emerging dynasty of Wiggins, Poole, and Payton, Kuminga, and Wiseman.

On Thursday, June the 16th, 2022, the Golden State Warriors WON the fourth Championship in eight years, defeating the Eastern Division Champions, the Boston Celtics (103-90), in game 6. The Completion of "A Bridge Too Far" is ahead of schedule, with this championship that few expected the Dubs to win.

With the parade over, Gary Payton II gets the bag from the Portland Trailblazers, Otto Porter Jr. moves on to join the Toronto Raptors, Damion Lee signs with the Phoenix Suns, and JTA joins LeBron James in LA. Nemanja Bjelica goes home to play in the Serbian League. The drafted talent will need to fill the holes left by their departure: Moody, Kuminga, and Wiseman's contributions are critical to next season's effort to place the fifth Curry Larry in the case.
