With twenty-four games left on the schedule, the Warriors' time has run out to make a path to a top five birth for the 2022/23 NBA playoffs. With four games left in February, all against division rivals, the team from the Bay will face the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto Center, with the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Portland Trail Blazers all paying visits to Chase Center.
The defending champions have little opportunity left to find a path to reach their goal of a top five playoff seating for the 2022/23 season.
The Warriors' March schedule is one of the most challenging the Dubs have ever faced. The month begins with another visit to Crypto Center to face the Los Angeles Clippers, a meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans before the struggling road Warriors return to Los Angeles to play the Lakers, with the final two stops in Oklahoma City and Memphis. Returning home, the hosts of Chase Center will welcome the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns before going back on the road for five games, with contests in Los Angeles to face the Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks.

The last three weeks of the season may decide the fate of the defending champions. The Dubs will be at home for the next four games with the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, and the San Antonio Spurs all with stops at Chase Center. The April season finale has the Warriors on the road for a game with the Denver Nuggets, home to greet Oklahoma City Thunder, a trip up I-80 to play their division rivals, the Sacramento Kings, before boarding the team plane for a final meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers to conclude the season.
The All Star break could not have come at a better time for Stephen Curry, who is recovering from a lower leg contusion, with an optimistic return after the break. The Warriors will need to find their top-ten defense while continuing their improved ball security and shot selection which has been evident in recent games. Should the Dubs reach their goal, they will have put the league on notice, once again, the playoffs are the Golden State Warriors Invitational.
